Every job has an expiry measured in days. When you send an invitation, InterviewClip stamps an absolute deadline onto that specific link, along with the retake policy in force at that moment. Later edits to the job never rewrite links you already issued, so candidates always see the terms they were given.
To keep things fair, parts of a job lock as it gets used:
- The deadline freezes once any invitation has been sent.
- The questions and the candidate experience settings (per-question time, retake policy, prep time, intro video, rating card) lock the moment the first candidate records.
Internal fields such as the title, notes, tags, and hiring-manager and reviewer assignments stay editable throughout.
