Every plan includes a video retention window: how long a candidate's recorded answers stay available after they were recorded. Higher plans keep videos longer. Your plan's exact window is shown on its card on the Billing page.
When videos approach the end of your retention window, we email your organization's admins 30 days and again 7 days before the scheduled deletion, so nothing disappears unannounced. After deletion, the videos and their transcripts and AI summaries are permanently removed. Scores, comments, notes, and the candidate's record are always kept, so your hiring history stays complete.
Within the retention window, older videos move to long-term storage to keep them safe. An archived video shows a "Restore video" action on the review page: restoring is free, usually takes a few minutes, and the video then plays as normal. Its transcript and AI summary stay readable the whole time, so you can review what was said without waiting.
Downgrading (or a lapsed subscription) never deletes videos immediately. Anything older than your new plan's window is paused instead: playback is blocked, but the recordings stay safely stored for a grace period, and your admins are emailed. If you upgrade back within that grace period, the paused videos are restored instantly. If the grace period ends, they are deleted with the same advance warnings.
Deleting a candidate or a job removes their videos right away, regardless of any retention window; retention never delays a deletion you asked for. For your current window and plan options, see the Billing page.
